Latchkey Care
Sidney City Schools is proud to offer Latchkey to Sidney families with children in grades kindergarten through 5th.
Families can get affordable, supervised before and/or after school care for district students enrolled in grades K-5 for the school year. Drop-in rates and inclement weather cancellation rates are available. Your child must be pre-registered prior to dropping in. Fill out the registration form and submit the fee now.
We promise to devote our time and effort to ensure that children are safe, happy, and cared for in a positive environment.
Right at School
Sidney City Schools is excited to announce a new partnership with Right At School, a nationally recognized school enrichment provider, for before and after-school care to replace Latchkey. Starting in the fall of 2024, Right At School will offer the program to students in kindergarten through fifth grades. (Latchkey will continue to be available through the end of the current school year.)
For families who wish to participate in this program, it will be available from 5:30 AM until 6:30 PM every day school is in session. Families can work with Right At School to create flexible monthly schedules to support their busy lives. Create your monthly schedule by choosing 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week. Drop-in care and punch cards are also flexible options, and Right At School will be available during breaks and non-school days.
Right At School provides families flexibility in enrollment options and a comprehensive enrichment curriculum to keep students engaged while they participate. Students will have a healthy snack, engage in dynamic fitness activities, student-driven projects, team building, and leadership development, and have the opportunity to complete homework. The program also features an enriched curriculum in the form of two-week units.
Right At School is hosting a virtual “Family Information Night" to provide an overview of their programs, answer questions, and interact with you.

Inclement Weather Policy
Closings/Delays Due to Weather or Emergencies: In case of inclement weather, Sidney City Schools will be using the automated call system to inform families of cancellations.
- If school is closed before 5:30am, Latchkey will also be closed. Parents will be credited for this day in the event of a cancellation.
- If school is delayed, the Latchkey program will not delay and will open at 5:30am.
- If school is on a delay and then closes, IF YOUR STUDENT IS REGISTERED FOR CANCELLATION DAYS/SCHEDULED DAYS OFF. The Latchkey program will be open all day until parent/guardian pick-up time. In this event, lunch will be provided for students. (Additional $20.00 per day)
- If there is an early dismissal, the Latchkey program WILL run the PM session. This includes scheduled early dismissals and weather early dismissals.
