Kindergarten Screening 2022 Kindergarten Screening 2022

Sidney City Schools has set their kindergarten screening and registration for the 2022-2023 school year for Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Emerson and Longfellow Primary Schools. Students who are enrolling in kindergarten who DO NOT currently attend Whittier Early Childhood Center may call to schedule a screening appointment beginning Monday, March 7.

Before the end of the school year, SMS 5th, 6th, and 7th-grade students and Northwood 4th-grade students will be viewing presentations on elective course options for the upcoming school year. Because some courses are new, SMS wants students to learn more about them before making their elective selections for the next school year.

Sidney City Schools is proud to announce preschool enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year is now open. Whittier Early Childhood Center is open to children ages 3-5. 

Dinner With A Gentleman Celebrates Male Role Models Dinner With A Gentleman 2022

Sidney City Schools, kindergarten through second grade, hosted a special dinner celebrating the men in our students’ lives. A Dinner with a Gentleman took place Tuesday evening with our Longfellow Primary families and on Wednesday with Emerson Primary. 

Gailey is State Winner of American Legion Test Nathaniel Gailey and Jarrett Payne - Americanism & Government Test State Winners

SHS senior Nathaniel Gailey is a State Champion in the American Legion Americanism and Government Test and has earned an all-expense-paid, week-long trip to historic Gettysburg, PA, and the nation’s capital, Washington, DC. The American Legion Department of Ohio sponsors the yearly trip taking the top 3 boys and 3 girls in grades 10-12 for a total of only 18 students. Sophomore Jarrett Payne was named an alternate at the state level, if any of the 3 sophomore male winners cannot go on the trip, Payne will be included on the trip.
