Community Foundation of Shelby County Scholarship Application

Sidney High School seniors and graduates are eligible for scholarships administered by the Community Foundation of Shelby County.

The application can be found at www.commfoun.comon December 14th!

Things to do in the meantime...

  • Information to gather

    • Demographic information about student

    • Educational history and plan

      • Transcript (both high school and post-secondary, if applicable)

    • 1-3 letters of recommendation

      • Can be uploaded or emails can be sent to those writing letters

    • List of awards, school activities, community activities, work experience

    • Your EFC (expected family contribution) from FAFSA.

      • Don’t forget to do the FAFSA!

    • List of any other aid/scholarships

    • College cost of attendance information

    • Students will also be asked to submit a personal statement of no more than 500 words, telling why they have chosen their field of study, why they selected their preferred school or university, and why they should be awarded a scholarship. (List any unusual circumstances that affect your financial situation).

Most scholarships have a deadline of February 14th.
